Founded by Christopher Catanese

With more than two decades in the beauty industry, Christopher Catanese has built a career as an educator, editorial artist, salon leader, and mentor throughout the Tri-State Area and beyond.

A former Education Director for TIGI's International Creative Team, Christopher has taught advanced haircutting across the country, worked backstage at New York Fashion Week and Miami Swim Week, created editorial collections, and presented on mainstage for BehindTheChair.com.

Known for combining technical precision with creativity and individuality, Christopher believes great hair is about more than how it looks. It's about how people feel when they leave the chair. Today, Frei brings that philosophy to life through a culture centered on craftsmanship, continuous learning, collaboration, and genuine care for every guest.
